CXP allows approved creators to create online courses and organize learning materials using text, images, audio, and embedded YouTube videos. This tutorial walks you through the entire process, from becoming a CXP creator to creating your course modules, purchasing course slots, and preparing your course for students.

STEP 1: Become a CXP Creator

Before you can create a course, you need a CXP account and approval as a creator. Follow these steps: Create an account on CXP and log in. Visit your profile and complete the required basic information. Verify your email address. Set up your security PIN. Submit a creator request. An administrator will review your request. Once it is approved, you become eligible to create courses on CXP.

STEP 2: Start Creating Your Course

After your creator request has been approved: Click the Courses link in the website header. On mobile, open the menu and select Courses. Click the Create Course button, usually located at the top-right of the page. Follow the guided course-creation steps.

STEP 3: Enter Your Basic Course Details

The first stage requires your basic course information. Course title: Enter the title of your course. Category: Select an existing category or type in your own. Price in naira: Enter your course price. Enter 0 if you want to offer the course for free. Creator WhatsApp number: Enter the correct number. Buyers will use it to contact you after sending payment for your course. Check your details carefully, especially your price and WhatsApp number. When everything is correct, click Create Course Draft to continue.

STEP 4: Set Your Price and Affiliate Option

In the next stage, you can edit your course price and choose whether to enable affiliate promotions. If you want to allow others to promote your course and earn commission, check the affiliate promotion box. Otherwise, leave it unchecked. Click Proceed to continue.

STEP 5: Add Your Course Description and Terms

The next screen allows you to write your course description and set the terms and conditions for buyers. Course description Your course description must not exceed 300 characters. Briefly explain what the course teaches and what learners can expect to learn. For example: Learn the basics of Microsoft Excel, from entering and formatting data to using formulas and creating charts. Follow practical video lessons and test your understanding as you progress. Buyer terms and conditions Enter the terms you want buyers to understand before purchasing your course. Make sure they are clear and appropriate for your course. When you have completed both sections, click Save and Proceed.

STEP 6: Enter Your Bank Account Details

In the final course-setup stage, enter the bank account details where learners will pay for your course. Check that the details are correct before proceeding. Click Finalize and activate your course. Your course has now been created, but you still need to add the learning materials.

STEP 7: Create Your First Module

After creating your course, CXP guides you toward creating your first module. At this stage, the other course-management buttons are hidden, leaving the module-creation button available. Click the highlighted module-creation button. For your first module, you can create an introduction that explains what the course covers. Enter: Module title: A short title, such as Introduction to Basic Excel. Module description: A brief explanation of what the module contains. Click Save to open the module builder.

STEP 8: Add Learning Materials to Your Module

The CXP module builder allows you to build your content gradually by adding different types of items. Available item types include: Title: An optional heading for organizing your content. Text box: Write text such as introductions, explanations, and questions. Image: Upload an image from your device or provide an image URL. Audio: Upload an audio file or provide the URL of an existing audio resource. YouTube video: Embed a video by pasting its YouTube URL. Each item is a separate content block. You can add as many blocks as necessary to build your module.

Example: Building a Simple Lesson

Suppose you are creating a course on Basic Excel. A lesson module might contain: A short text introduction explaining the topic. An embedded YouTube video teaching the topic. A few self-assessment questions in a text block. The correct answers and brief explanations so students can check their understanding. Arrange the items in the order you want students to follow. After adding the materials to your first module, return to your course page to continue the setup.

STEP 9: Purchase Course Slots

A newly created course starts with zero slots. Slots represent the number of seats available for students to enrol in your course. To make your course available for sale, you need to purchase slots through the system. Follow these steps: Specify how many slots you want to purchase. Pay the applicable system percentage for the selected number of slots, calculated in relation to your course price. Wait for an administrator to approve your slots. Each slot has a cost based on the applicable percentage of your course price. Check the amount displayed by CXP before making payment. Once your slots have been approved, you can start selling your course, and the remaining course-management options become available.

STEP 10: Manage Your Course

After your slots are approved, you can access additional course-management features. These include: Adding more modules. Editing course details. Creating a promotional page for your course. Viewing course statistics. Reviewing and approving student orders. Chatting with learners through the dedicated course chat. Viewing course ratings and reviews. Editing your course content and other details. Monitoring affiliate performance if affiliate promotions are enabled. These tools allow you to manage your course and its learning materials from CXP.

STEP 11: Review Your Course Before Sharing It

Before sharing your course with learners, review it carefully. Check that: The course title and description are correct. Your price and contact information are accurate. Your modules are arranged in the right order. Text and images display correctly. Embedded YouTube videos open and play correctly. Audio resources work as expected. Questions and answers are easy to understand. Students can follow the learning materials on their phones. Correct any errors you discover before students begin using the course.
You have now learned how to become a CXP creator, create a course, add learning materials, purchase course slots, and manage your course. CXP's guided setup and flexible module builder allow you to organize different types of learning content into one course. Follow the steps carefully, check your information, and review your materials before making the course available to students.
